About This Mini Guide
Healthcare leaders carry enormous responsibility and infection prevention is at the center of organizational performance. This mini guide highlights key blind spots we see across systems and the mindset shifts that strengthen leadership alignment, reduce friction and improve patient safety.

This resource draws from our experience engaging with leaders and infection prevention professionals who are committed to building safer, more resilient systems for the communities they serve.
Inside the Mini Guide
The 3 Blind Spots That Slow Organizational Progress:
• Technical: When infection prevention is treated as a task instead of a strategic asset.
• Silos: When departments move in different directions and alignment breaks down.
• Purpose: When teams understand the “what” but not the shared “why.”
More GivingTuesday Resources Are Coming
If you work in an organization with limited financial resources, we're happy to offer two free resources for GivingTuesday:

• Full Powerful IP™ Coaching Program Fee Waiver: Two early-career infection preventionists will benefit from 12 months of coaching with 18-month access to our program resources and 2-year complimentary access to the Powerful IP™ Exchange Hub, an online community of peers participating in the program. Selected participants will be required to submit a nominal registration fee (less than 6% of program value). This helps discourage no-shows and ensures fairness for participants who truly need this support.
• One Free Strategic Advisory Session for One Organization: One low-resourced organization will benefit from a free strategic advisory session to support their program.
To take advantage of one of these services, apply here. Deadline: January 9, 2026.
